2010 NHLA Annual Convention & Exhibit Showcase
The Global Gathering of the Hardwood Community
The NHLA Annual Convention & Exhibit Showcase has always been a great opportunity to get inspired, learn from industry peers and network with clients. This year, it will be even better thanks to the ideas and feedback we’ve received from the 2009 convention. NHLA has made some changes to the conference format and content in order to provide an invigorating, challenging, and one-of-a-kind convention experience.
• New Convention Schedule − More Days, Less Conflicting Events
Exhibit Showcase & Trader’s Alley will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings. Educational seminars will not conflict with other events and tours of Vancouver take place in the afternoons. The new schedule will provide all attendees the opportunity to make the most of their time in Vancouver.
• New Session Formats
Opening Session and remarks by this year’s Keynote Speaker will be take place on Thursday, October 14, the first full day of the convention. Differing from the last few years, General Session and remarks from the Second Keynote Speaker will take place on Saturday, October 16, the last day of convention.
• New Multimedia Communication
This year, the convention website, electronic newsletter, and social media outlets will keep attendees informed of the latest convention news. Once the conference is underway, the most up-to-date convention schedule will be delivered by way of in-room hotel television channels and video digital signage on the convention floor.
